Fire damages several units at storage facility
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas firefighters were called to the Bonanza Mini Storage facility Saturday morning for a fire.
It happened around 8:45 a.m. at 2210 West Bonanza Road.
When crews arrived, smoke was showing from the middle of a one-story concrete block building, which is sub-divided into storage garages and rooms.
Firefighters found fire coming from one of the storage rooms, which spread to a number of other units.
One unit was gutted, about 10 other units had damage in varying degrees from very light smoke to moderate heat.
Damage is estimated at $50,000.
The manager of the facility told investigators she was opening a gate at the facility and noticed smoke coming from the center of the building. She could see flames and smoke coming from one of the units.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Investigators want to talk to some of the tenants of the storage units, before making a determination.
No injuries were reported.
