Positively Las Vegas
Former WNBA player hosts local basketball camp
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The annual Sequoia Holmes' Basketball Camp got underway Friday at Mojave High School.
Holmes is a former WNBA player, and says her love of the game began when she was just 8 years old here in the Valley.
The Mojave High grad is giving back and making Las Vegas a better place to live.
This is the camp's fifth year. The program allows young WNBA hopefuls the opportunity to learn more about the game and hone their skills.
In addition to basketball drills and conditioning, the camp also promotes positive thinking and self-esteem.
The camp runs through the weekend.
