Warrant out for North Vegas man in wife's killing
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Authorities say they've got a warrant out for the arrest of a North Las Vegas man suspected of murdering his 44-year-old wife while four children were in their house.
North Las Vegas police say they're seeking 46-year-old Alberto Gutierrez in connection with the Saturday stabbing death of Rosaura Banuet.
Police say was Gutierrez was gone when they responded to a domestic violence call at the house near Washburn and Lawrence streets. Banuet was taken to a hospital and died shortly after.
North Las Vegas authorities say Gutierrez has previously been arrested for domestic battery. He's described as 6-foot-1 and about 225 pounds, with a tattoo of a naked woman on his right arm.
He's wanted on one count of murder and four counts of child abuse with substantial mental anguish.
