Coroner IDs 18-year-old fatally shot in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Officials have identified an 18-year-old man who died of gunshot wounds after being brought to a North Las Vegas hospital in a private vehicle.
The Clark County coroner's office says Sergio Gauna of North Las Vegas died of the wound in the torso, shortly after he was taken to North Vista Hospital Tuesday night.
Las Vegas police say they got reports of gunfire about 8 p.m. Tuesday, and found shell casings and a shot-up car on Constantine Avenue, northeast of downtown Las Vegas.
Police believe Gauna and the bullet-riddled car are linked. Homicide detectives are investigating.
