Journalists turn out for 2012 UNITY convention
Las Vegas, NV (KT NV) -- The UNITY '12 Convention started Wednesday at Mandalay Bay in La's Vegas.
UNITY is a group of journalists focused on coverage about people of color and encourages news organizations to hire people of all ethnicities.
Attendees of the convention got to hear a big announcement yesterday.
The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is giving 5.5 million dollars to the National Public Radio organization.
The mission of CPB is to strengthen and advance public media service. Especially to people who are unserved or underserved.
The UNITY convention will conclude on Saturday.
