Better Business Bureau has new president and CEO
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Some major changes are coming to the Better Business Bureau of Southern Nevada.
One of those is a new president and chief executive officer.
George Cartwright says that he wants the public to know that when they have a dispute with a valley business, the BBB will hear what they have to say.
The former vice president of corporate development for the Greenspun Corp. is taking the helm of the BBB after the death of former CEO Sylvia Campbell.
Cartwright says he plans to make sure action is taken against bad businesses. He is hoping to do that by building a stronger relationship with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and other local police.
And, he wants valley businesses to know the value of becoming a member of the BBB.
As someone who grew up here and went to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Cartwright wants people to know that he is invested in the community.
"I've seen a lot of change here in the last 37 years and I am in love with this city and want to do all I can to make this a better city," said Cartwright.
