FBI agent shoots murder suspect in Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A federal investigation is now underway after a man wanted for murder was shot by an agent of the FBI on Thursday afternoon at Arizona Charlie's on Boulder Highway.
Detectives say the fugitive was hiding in one of the extended-stay hotel rooms, located in the back of the property, away from the casino.
The multi-agency Criminal Apprehension Team (CAT) was running surveillance after getting a tip the suspect was there.
When the team confronted him, they say he showed a weapon. That's when an FBI agent shot him.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, was transported to a local hospital. The FBI reports he underwent surgery but there is no update on his condition.
