North Las Vegas City Hall, Civic Plaza receives national honor
North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Some positive news out of the north part of our Valley. A local building project is receiving a national honor.
North Las Vegas City Hall and Civic Plaza has been named "Public Works Project of the Year."
The building opened back in November 2011.
The American Public Works Association said the 210,000 square-foot building was chosen because of its "leed silver certification and solar power."
The project also came in far under budget.
It originally was budgeted at $142 million, but was delivered at just $21 million.
