Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County Fire Department was on the scene of an early-morning fire in an unoccupied office in a commercial complex at 8575 South Eastern Avenue, near Wigwam.

One unit initially responded to the fire after receiving a report of smoke at 3:21 a.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival, that unit could see smoke and heard alarms inside the building. Another alarm was called out.

A total of 69 personnel responded to the fire, including firefighters from the city of Henderson. The fire was difficult to knock down because it was in the attic space of the building.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the unoccupied office and it did not spread.

No civilians or firefighters were injured during the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation, however, investigators say that lightning may have been a factor.

The damage is estimated at $500,000.
