Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- International airlines made the transition to Terminal 3 at McCarran in June. Now, the first batch of domestic carriers will officially relocate Tuesday morning.

Those five domestic carriers are Alaska, Frontier, JetBlue, Sun Country and Virgin America airlines. All other domestic carriers will be staying in Terminal 1 for now.

To avoid confusion, every approach to McCarran has added large overhead signs explaining where travelers need to go. So all locals that are accustomed to going a certain way need to pay extra attention.

"You're really going to need to know before you go," McCarran spokesman Chris Jones said. "You're going to need to pay attention to what airline you're traveling or what airline the person you're picking up is traveling on, and then go to the proper terminal to save yourself a little bit of lost time."

Officials say moving the five domestic carriers to the new Terminal will improve the travel experience for everyone by cutting down on congestion and wait times.

Terminal 3 has its own baggage claim, ticketing, passenger pick-up and parking.
