Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The District Attorney's office has ruled in favor of Metro on three 2011 officer-involved deaths.

Metro acted lawfully in the 2011 deaths of Alberto Castillo, Luis Silva and Rafael Alonso, the DA's office released in a report on Monday.

“In each of these three incidents, the police officers tried to resolve the situation using non-lethal weapons such as Tasers and beanbag rounds,” DA Steven Wolfson said. “However, the suspects refused to comply with the officers’ orders and instead took actions that put the officers’ lives in danger.”

Alberto Castillo died at the hands of police on May 27, 2011 in the northeast part of the Valley when he was allegedly assaulting his wife. Blood tests showed Castillo was under the influence of amphetamine and methamphetamine.

Luis Silva was killed after police say he aimed a gun at an officer early the morning of July 5, 2011 on Taurus Court on the east side of Las Vegas.

Ten days later, Rafael Alonso was shot by police when he came at officers with a knife during an incident on Firestone Drive on the west side of the Valley.
