Motorcycle officer injured in Saturday night collision
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department motorcycle officer was injured in an accident at about 8:05 p.m. Saturday on West Lake Mead Boulevard and North Victor Way.
According to witness statements and evidence at the scene, the police officer was traveling east on Lake Mead Boulevard when a 1991 Ford Ranger -- driven by 45-year-old Jack Bradford -- turned in front of the officer's motorcycle.
The police officer was transported to University Medical Center Trauma in critical condition.
Bradford and his passenger, 31-year-old Morgon Hanneman, were not injured. Bradford was arrested on the scene for driving under the influence.
The accident remains under investigation by the LVMPD Accident Investigation Section.
