Rate hike, warm weather boost profits for NV Energy
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- NV Energy is reporting higher profits, thanks to a rate hike and the weather.
The company posted a large increase in second-quarter profits Friday, with $69.4 million in net income.
Company officials said the rate hike played a factor, along with unusually warm weather during the quarter, which ended June 30.
