Friends say victim's husband responsible for double shooting
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A mother of five shot and killed in her own home, and friends say her estranged husband is to blame.
Troy White surrendered to sheriff’s deputies Friday night in Yavapai County, Arizona, after police say he shot a man and woman inside a home near Alta and Buffalo.
It was a 9-year old boy inside the home at the time of the shooting that alerted neighbors to call police.
When officers arrived they found the man and woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were rushed to UMC where the woman was pronounced dead. The man is said to be recovering.
Neighbors were shocked to see something like this happen in their neighborhood
"A murder is happening right over there?" asked neighbor Toni Settles. "Maybe it's not so safe, I don't know. It seemed like a safe neighborhood when I moved in."
Officers haven’t identified the victims, but friends say the mother's name is Echo White.
It's unknown where those 5 children are staying.
