Rescued workers speak out after harrowing ordeal at Vdara
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Workers who were stranded on the 35th floor at Vdara on Wednesday are talking about the ordeal.
"We were coming down to get some more material to go back up to pull the window out and it just basically froze on us," rescued worker Freddie Vigil said.
Four men were stranded on a window washing platform as they were working on a window replacement project.
The call for rescue came in at about noon. All four men were rescued safely by mid-afternoon.
The workers say they remained calm throughout the harrowing ordeal.
"It's just another day for us," said Ramer McCune. "Not getting stuck, but we were all calm, joking around, just having a good time and waiting for time to go by until we got rescued."
The men say they aren't afraid of heights, but after several hours dangling on the side of Vdara they were happy to be back on the ground.
