Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The LINQ Project's High Roller Observation Wheel has been given the official "go ahead" from Clark County.

Caesars Entertainment has secured the crucial permits to construct what will be the tallest wheel in the world at 550 feet.

The wheel is located at the center of the Las Vegas Strip. It will be the anchor attraction at LINQ, a Caesars Entertainment project comprised of retail, restaurants and entertainment, between the Imperial Palace and Flamingo Las Vegas.

"We're really looking at how to make this an overall entertainment attraction for our customers in the hopes that they not only going to ride it once, but ride it more than once over the course of time," said Executive Project Director for The LINQ.

This will be the second observation wheel in Las Vegas. Two miles down the road and across from Mandalay Bay, the Skyvue has been under construction since early this year. It's expected to stand 500 feet.
