Obama visiting Reno for VFW convention
RENO, Nev. (AP) -- President Barack Obama is speaking to the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Reno at a convention that is expected to draw thousands.
Obama is expected to arrive in Reno at about 12:15 p.m. Pacific Time on Monday to speak at the 113th annual VFW convention.
Republican challenger Mitt Romney is scheduled to speak to the same group Tuesday morning. The candidates' speeches are not open to the public.
The convention is expected to pump about $12.7 million to the local economy it's Reno's biggest single-week convention of the year. It's expected to draw 10,000 visitors through the time it ends Wednesday.
