Fundraiser held for family of victims killed in I-15 wreck
Overton, NV (KTNV) -- A community comes together, to support a family torn apart.
The community in Overton gathered for a car wash to support the survivors of a car wreck that claimed the lives of a mother and her 3-year old son.
It was a crash that shut down the I-15 for several hours; the Fox family was headed home to Overton when their truck flipped.
Along with her husband, Dani Fox was a volunteer firefighter.
The loss of the Dani and her son Zach has left a big hole in the Overton community, but friends are doing what they can to give the family some financial support, during the most trying time of their lives.
“It's about making sure that people remember the things that Dani did for the community, and she'll never be forgotten,” said Cori Leachman, a fellow volunteer firefighter.
Organizers say, all money raised at the car wash will go directly to the fox family.
The funeral for Dani and Zach will be held Monday in Overton. Almost all of the volunteer firefighters in Moapa Valley are expected to attend.
