Fate of murder, kidnap suspect being debated
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The fate of the man who kidnapped his Las Vegas girlfriend and her daughter, before killing them both, is being debated this weekend.
Thomas Sanders is charged in the death of 12-year-old Lexis Roberts and her mother Suellen.
The three left for a road trip to the Grand Canyon in 2010 and never returned. Their bodies were found after a nationwide search.
Now, federal prosecutors have until August 1 to decide whether they'll seek the death penalty against Sanders.
