Small roof fire reported at Clark High School
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Firefighters were called to Clark High School for a small fire on the roof.
It happened just before 2 p.m. Saturday.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue said roofing adhesive caught fire while construction workers were working on the roof at the high school.
Fire dispatchers received several calls that thick smoke was coming from the center of the roof of the school at 4291 Pennwood Avenue.
Crews arrived on the scene shortly after and quickly put the fire out.
The fire was confined to the roof on the outside, damaging some of the newly laid roofing material.
There was no damage to the interior of the school.
Construction workers were permitted to return to the worksite to repair the damage.
There were no injuries reported.
