Local moviegoers react to massacre in Colorado
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Moviegoers in Las Vegas are reacting to a massacre in Colorado overnight, but many say the shooting won't prevent them from seeing "The Dark Knight Rises."
We spoke with locals heading to theater who expressed disbelief and sadness over the deaths.
"When I heard about what happened with the shootings, it was just shock," moviegoer Dave Learman said. "It was like a world turned upside down. It was like something out of a movie, at a movie."
Those we talked to said the shooting wouldn't stop them from seeing one of the year's most anticipated films.
"What can you do about it besides support the families and all the people," said Rachel Dixon. "It has nothing to do with the movie. It's just a random tragedy."
"I don't feel like it's going to happen again," said Bryan Harvey.
Still, an air of tension may rest upon theater goers in the coming days.
"I waited a long time to see 'The Dark Knight Rises,'" Learman said. "So I've got my fingers crossed, but I am a little nervous. It's really scary."
