Inmate attempts escape from women's prison Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Authorities say an inmate attempted to escape from Florence McClure Women's Correctional Center in Las Vegas on Friday morning.
Officials at the Nevada Dept. of Corrections say inmate Brookey West tried to escape at about 6:30 while other inmates were going to breakfast.
West was convicted for first degree murder and is serving a life sentence without parole.
Brookey wore a disguise but security guards spotted her as she went through a security gate. They restrained her and put her in a secure area.
