Henderson swears in new police chief
Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- Henderson City Council swore in new police chief Patrick Moers on Tuesday.
Moers fills the vacancy left by Jutta Chambers, who retired earlier this year following the release of a video of Henderson police beating a man during a traffic stop in 2010.
Moers served as interim chief following Chambers' retirement.
City Manager Jacob Snow selected Moers for the permanent position. He was ratified and immediately sworn in on Tuesday night.
Moers has been a police officer since 1991 and has served in Henderson more than 20 years.
