Road rage: Man shoots teenager in head
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A teenager was shot twice in the head Tuesday afternoon in an apparent case of road rage.
The teen driver of a pickup truck and the driver of a Jeep were involved. The truck tried to escape the Jeep by pulling into the parking lot of a business center on McLeod between Sunset and Patrick. The Jeep followed the truck into the parking lot, pinning the truck against the wall.
Police say the driver of the Jeep then got out and shot the teen driver of the pickup truck twice in the head.
The teen victim remained alert after being shot, and was rushed to a nearby hospital to be treated for his injuries. Doctors repaired a hole in his head and re-attached a severed portion of his ear. Police say he is expected to survive.
The gunman, a man in his 30's, remained on scene and admitted to police that he shot the victim. He was arrested at the scene.
Police have not identified either person involved.
