Sparks police looking for missing mom, children
SPARKS, Nev. (AP) -- Sparks police are looking for two young children and a 24-year-old mother who haven't been seen since the woman said she was meeting her new boyfriend a week ago.
Authorities said Sunday they believe Vanessa Head was meeting the man willingly, but say they're concerned because she has a cognitive disability and her children are so young.
Head was last seen July 7, when she told family members she was meeting a man she apparently met online. She and her 2-year-old son Michael Scanlon and 9-month-old daughter Lilly Scanlon were seen getting into a silver car driven by an unidentified man.
Sparks police say they believe Head may have been going to Las Vegas, or to Sacramento or Vallejo, Calif.
