Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A new storm swept through many areas of the Las Vegas valley last night bringing reports of hail, high winds and heavy rain.

The storm began at about 9:30 p.m. in the southwest part of the valley and then moved to the north and northeast.

Hail -- the size of a dime -- was reported in Summerlin and Centennial Hills.

It was a fast-moving storm though and was pretty much over in less than an hour.

Centennial Hills -- the area near U.S. 95 North and Durango Drive -- was hit hard on Saturday night.

Many cars became stuck in flooded intersections and the streets were covered in debris, rocks and mud on Sunday morning.

The Henderson area was hit with a sudden storm earlier in the day on Sunday. Reports were received about flood streets and intersections at around 2:30 p.m.

A flash flood watch was in effect for most of the valley on Sunday.

There is still a small chance of rain today -- about 20 percent. Beginning Tuesday, the rest of the week should be sunny and dry.
