Metro, volunteers help cleanup Sierra Sunrise Community
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Hundreds of people woke up early Saturday morning, grabbed tools and headed to the northeast to make Las Vegas a better place to live.
Volunteers teamed up with Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to beautify the Sierra Sunrise Community.
This was the second phase of the efforts. The first phase took place last weekend.
Plans to get this project off the ground have been in the works for months now.
Everyone involved hopes cleaning the area around Lake Mead and Hollywood Boulevards will help curtail violence and change its image.
