Local entrepreneurs compete for opportunity to start new business downtown
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A competition is underway involving some local entrepreneurs given one weekend to brainstorm the best ideas for a start-up company in downtown Las Vegas.
“Build a business in 54 hours. So whatever the time it takes to get it done, that’s what we're going to do,” said aspiring entrepreneur Aaron Anderson.
Anderson was joined by more than 60 different entrepreneurs who showed up with a list of ideas, ready to be a part the newest business in our now booming downtown.
A half million dollars will be invested into to the group who comes up with the most innovative investment opportunity.
After breaking up into teams, they'll be spending the next three days fine-tuning their business concepts.
Chance Burnett and his company has teamed up with the Vegas Tech Fund, hoping to invest their money into the next downtown business start-up.
“Surrounding them with the right community of experienced entrepreneurs, that can help them figure out what's next,” said Burnett.
Although the winner won’t be declared for a few more days, with the chance of a new startup company downtown and the potential to create even more jobs, the real winner here, is Las Vegas.
