Nevada AG looking into July 3 incident involving county commisioner
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Nevada Attorney General will be the one taking a closer look at what happened at the home of Clark County Commissioner Tom Collins on the night of July 3.
Collins allegedly fired a gun illegally just before midnight.
Police were reportedly called to his house after neighbors said shots were fired into the air.
Collins is denying the allegations.
Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson has excused himself from the case. He issued the following statement:
"In an effort to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest ... I am turning this case over to the Nevada Attorney General's office."
