Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Severe weather swept through parts of Southern Nevada on Thursday evening, bringing thunderstorms and rain to the Las Vegas area.
Action News meteorologists are monitoring a thunderstorm complex that began in the northwest Arizona region.
High winds with gusts of up to 40 miles per hour are expected.
Thunderstorms and steady rain is likely in some areas throughout the evening.
The severe weather also brought dust storms to isolated areas.
