Hoover Dam bypass bridge reopens after police activity
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Hoover Dam bypass bridge is back open Thursday evening after police activity forced traffic to stop earlier in the day.
The Nevada Highway Patrol said the bridge shut down at about 11:30 a.m. as authorities negotiated with a suicidal man threatening to jump.
Authorities were unsuccessful, and the man jumped.
The bridge was reopened to traffic at about 1 p.m.
