Pahrump, NV (KTNV) -- Lightning strikes sparked two fires outside of Las Vegas on Wednesday night, including one near Pahrump, a Forest Service spokesman confirmed.

One fire started in the Cold Creek area but appeared to be confined to one tree.

The second fire burned just northeast of Pahrump and had grown to 10-20 acres as of Wednesday night.
