 Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A local man is taking his career to new heights, and then coming right back down to earth. He's earned a coveted spot on the prestigious U.S. parachute team.

38-year-old Scott Janise is a member of the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team and works as the videographer for an all-female team.

The Las Vegas native has completed an astounding 6,000 skydives and has been jumping since 2000.

The U.S. Parachute team, made up of the country's most elite aerial athletes, will include a delegation of more than 60 skydivers.
