Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Scott Harrison, 36, was found stabbed to death and hidden in the desert on the Fourth of July. A cross now marks the spot where his body was discovered, about 10 miles east of Indian Springs.

"He was discovered by two hikers in the remote desert, off U.S. 95 North," describes Nancy Truscott, a longtime friend of Harrison. "They saw a rug, with rocks holding it down, and noticed a hand sticking out underneath it. It was Scott."

Now Harrison's friends and family want justice.

"I want whoever did this, to be caught," Truscott says. "How could someone be so cruel and cold-hearted? I don't understand. Everybody loved Scott. He would always go out of his way to help people. He had a huge heart."

No one is in custody for Harrison's murder. Las Vegas police say it's an active investigation and can't give any details.
