Coroner IDs man shot at apartment complex on Hopkins Drive
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The coroner's office has identified the man shot July 6 at an apartment complex on Hopkins Drive as 24-year-old Exavian Jones from Las Vegas.
The shooting happened at about 9:40 p.m. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received a 911 call reporting shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a male and female suffering gunshot wounds. The female was treated at the scene. The male was transported to the University Medical Center.
Jones died at UMC a few hours later.
The shooting appears to have been a result of an altercation between two parties in the neighborhood. The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have yet been made.
