Coroner IDs father and son, drowning presumed
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner's office has identified the man and young boy who are presumed to have drowned this weekend as 37-year-old Pablo Hernandez Cortez and 2-year-old Angel Gabriel Hernandez. They were residents of North Las Vegas.
The official cause of death is still pending.
The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning. It is believed that the man and child fell off of a raft.
Swimmers spotted the pair in the water in Six Mile Cove near Cottonwood Cove on Lake Mohave.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The child was transported to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The National Park Service is also conducting an investigation of the incident.
