Teen fatally shot in Reno, police look for leads
RENO, Nev. (AP) -- Police are searching for leads in the shooting death of a 17-year-old boy in Reno.
Police say they responded to a report of a shooting and found the victim in a unit at a Centennial Way apartment complex late Saturday night.
Investigators say the victim earlier left the apartment and returned a few minutes later. He collapsed after telling the occupant he had been shot.
He was taken to a hospital, where he died.
Investigators say the shooting apparently took place in the area, but not in the apartment.
The victim's name wasn't immediately released.
