Las Vegas man killed in multiple-vehicle crash
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A 25-year-old man from Las Vegas is dead after a late night crash involving several vehicles.
It happened around 11:45 p.m. Saturday night at Boulder Highway and Russell Road.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed to Action News that at least five vehicles were involved.
The man killed was thrown from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
Several others were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said it appeared the cause was one vehicle's failure to yield to a traffic signal, leading to a chain reaction of crashes.
They said it doesn't appear that alcohol or drugs played a factor in the wreck.
Boulder Highway and Russell were shutdown near the intersections as investigators cleared the scene.
