Juvenile barricades herself in apartment after threatening her mother
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was on the scene of a SWAT standoff involving a 17-year-old female, who refused to come out from her apartment after threatening her mother with a knife.
Police said they were able to take the teen into custody just after 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
Officers broke through the door and found the girl.
She was taken to the hospital for medical evaluation before being booked.
Roads near Spring Mountain Road and Hauck Street, just west of Decatur Boulevard, were closed in the area during the incident.
