Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- 25 people can now say they're proud to be Americans.

The group took the Oath of Citizenship at the Housing for Nevada Office on Warm Springs Road.

Immigrants from 18 different nations took part in the event.

The ceremony was a way to kick off the annual Conference for the National Council of La Raza.

The NCLR Conference begins Saturday, July 7, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

It runs through Tuesday, when Vice President Joe Biden will deliver this year's keynote address.
