Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Fire officials say fireworks may be to blame for the massive blaze that destroyed an apartment complex on Thursday evening.
A Clark County Fire Department spokesman said that a preliminary investigation revealed that fireworks may have been the cause of the blaze at the complex on Karen Avenue.
The fire left 22 units destroyed and 46 people homeless. Four people, including a firefighter, were injured. All are expected to survive.
The blaze was first reported at about 6:45 p.m. Crews put out the fire at about 8:45 p.m.
The American Red Cross was called to assist those displaced.
