Pahrump man arrested on child pornography charges

Pahrump, NV (KTNV) -- A 69-year-old man in Pahrump has been arrested for allegedly receiving images and transmitting images believed to be child pornography.
Charles Benfante was arrested as a result of an investigation that started in Tuscon, Arizona.
The Tuscon police department was investigating someone there that they suspected was in possession of child pornography.
During that investigation, it was discovered that their suspect allegedly sent photographs to Benfante in Pahrump.
The Nye County Sheriff's Office obtained a warrant and searched Benfante's residence.
Benfante was arrested on the charges of possession of child pornography and use of Internet to control child pornography.
He has been booked into the NCSO detention facility pending $10,000 bail.
