Antonio Esfandiari wins million dollar WSOP buy-in tourney
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- One poker player is leaving Las Vegas $18 million richer.
Antonio Esfandiari won the World Series of Poker one-million dollar buy-in tournament last night.
The "Big One for One Drop" was the first-of-its-kind World Series of Poker event.
More than 40 businessmen, philanthropists and poker pros ponied up $1 million to take part in the high-stakes game.
The field included the founder of Cirque du Soleil as well as some local casino owners and executives.
Most of the proceeds from the big game will be donated to "One Drop." It is a charitable foundation involved in raising awareness about the need for fresh drinking water around the world.
