Preparations made for July 4 events in Southern Nevada
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Preparations are being made for several events across the Valley for the 4th of July.
Park Rangers expect about 500,000 visitors at Lake Mead over the course of the entire Independence day week and into the upcoming weekend.
Tuesday night, you can watch fireworks at the annual Independence Day Jubilee in North Las Vegas. The event begins at 6 p.m. at James Seastrand Park and costs $4 a person.
Preparations were made Tuesday for the fireworks display at Texas Station.
Wednesday night, Station Casinos will launch fireworks at 9 p.m. from five of its properties in what they call the "We Love Locals July 4 Fireworks Blast." To see them at close range, public viewing areas have been set up at Aliante Station, Green Valley Ranch, Red Rock and Texas Station.
