Man apparently drowns in Truckee River in Reno
RENO, Nev. (AP) -- Reno police say a man whose body was pulled from the Truckee River was an apparent accidental drowning victim.
The victim had been inner tubing with friends on the Truckee and was reported missing Saturday night after he was last seen near Reno's Oxbow Park.
Officers then located and recovered his body near Reno's Idlewild Park.
The victim's name wasn't immediately released.
Police are urging the public to be aware of the river's strong currents and low temperatures, and to wear life vests.
