K-9 unit in spotlight for Las Vegas police open house
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Officers in charge of Las Vegas' four-legged crime fighters will be telling about the department's K-9 unit during a monthly open house.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is featuring the K-9 unit 7 p.m. Tuesday as part of its First Tuesday outreach event.
Police will be meeting with residents at each of the Las Vegas area command offices. A list of locations is available on the department's website.
The open houses offer residents a chance to meet with the police officers that patrol their neighborhoods.
