AFAN sends kids to camp
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Nearly 20 local children suffering from HIV and Aids left Sunday for an all-expenses paid trip to Camp Courage.
Aid for AIDS of Nevada teamed up with the Laurel Foundation to send the kids to the camp in California.
The kids will take part in a variety of activities designed to foster friendship and self-confidence.
The children will return next weekend.
The camp was created to help children overcome the isolation and stigma often associated with their disease.
