Eldorado Casino celebrates 50 years in Henderson
Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- At a time when so many businesses are struggling to stay open, one place has weathered the storm for 50 years.
The Eldorado Casino was the first joint venture for legendary father and son team, Sam and Bill Boyd.
It's business philosophy is based on treating employees right and passing on that respect to customers. As a crowd gathered around Bill Boyd and past employees of Eldorado Sunday, a toast went up thanking loyal customers for their support.
"I think the Eldorado will be here for many more years. Again it's all about the team members, how we service our customers, and give exemplary service," says Guido Metzger, Director of Operations at Eldorado.
The celebrating is not over.
All year long anyone who wins a bingo game on "G-50" will get a $50 bonus. And to remember 1962, the year it opened, snack bars will offer 50 cent specials on anything from shrimp cocktails, hot wings, soda, beer, and coffee.
