Fire crews called to the scene of house fire on Franklin

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas Fire and Rescue was called to the scene of a house fire Saturday afternoon.

It started around 1:45 p.m. at 1200 Franklin Avenue, near Maryland Parkway and Charleston Boulevard.

Firefighters arrived to heavy flames and smoke coming from the one-story home.

The American Red Cross Disaster Action Team volunteers are meeting with the residents and will ensure everyone has a safe place to sleep and has food, clothing, medication and other essentials.
