Rudy Giuliani campaigns for Mitt Romney in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani has harsh words for President Barack Obama during a campaign stop in Las Vegas, saying he's accomplished nothing and will turn the nation more socialist than France if re-elected.
Giuliani told reporters after campaigning for Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney Friday that Romney has strong convictions, and says the health care law he passed as Massachusetts governor isn't a liability.
Giuliani had criticized Romney's health care law last year because it served as a model for the federal health care overhaul that Republicans want repealed.
Giuliani also downplayed comments he made last year describing Romney as a flip-flopper on health care, abortion and gay marriage.
Giuliani said Obama is "an unsuccessful person."
Giuliani and Romney were rivals in the 2008 Republican presidential primary.
